About Markus Langenfeld

By way of introduction my name is Markus Langenfeld. I’m an early 20s-ish aspiring technology enthusiast currently residing in the great state of Minnesota. I was born in Minnesota and lived here most of my life - not by choice, but circumstance. I currently work as an IT professional for a telecommunications provider that is based in northern MN. I do enjoy my job, I play many roles in the company and I have the opportunity to work with new and innovative technology. In a typical week I could do everything from configuring enterprise-class networking equipment to further developing the company’s branding and web presence.
I still have plans to continue my education. Until now most of what I know is based around the machine rather than the medium, such as computer networking, network security, hardware etc. I’d like to continue that but at the same time I ask myself if building PC’s and configuring routers is really what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. I may not be great at creating, but I consider myself a creative person. I’d like to expand on that and see where it brings me.
If you’re interested in more professional or educational information, you can download my 2008 resume here. Also, be sure to check out my profile on LinkedIn where I offer more detailed information concerning my skills and experience, and my portfolio on Carbonmade that features my recent web and graphic design work. I’m always interested in new opportunities, so take a look.
I like to get out as much as I can so when I’m not working or sitting in front of a computer screen it’s not uncommon for me to make a trip down to the cities to experience the nightlife or go shopping. Over the past few years I’ve also become more involved in photography, especially that of in an urban setting. I guess the architecture and overall busyness of the big city fascinates me. You can take a look at some of the photos I’ve taken of our very own Minneapolis and Saint Paul, MN along with the many other photosets I have started on Flickr.
My Home On The Web

I’ve left a trail around the internet through the past few years. When not employing my attention to work or blogging, I can be found spending time at a few of my favorite hangouts online, namely Dream in Code a web development and programming community. Additionally, you can find me on LinkedIn, CarbonMade, Flickr, ClaimID, Twitter, Technorati, MyBlogLog, SocialSpark, and Del.icio.us.
MarkusLangenfeld.com will always be my permanent home on the internet. I use this site to express my opinion and keep track of daily life. I also often post in-depth reviews and articles on hardware, software, movies, music, and art along with my own works such as project notes and photography.
