How to get a great deal on business cards.

January 24th, 2008 by Markus Langenfeld

I ordered some new business cards yesterday. My current cards have some outdated contact information on them and I handed one out just the other day, I realized how much of a pain and unprofessional it is to scribble out a phone number and write in a new one in front of the person I’m giving it to. It sort of defeats the purpose and convenience of having a printed card to give out only to draw numbers all over it like it’s a cocktail napkin.

I normally order cards through VistaPrint.com because they always have these great offers for free business cards. They aren’t actually free, if you want to remove the VistaPrint advertising and use a higher quality cardstock they do cost a few bucks. But if you stick to one of the premade templates you can get a box of cards for a heck of a deal. 250 cards for $17.14 shipped, not bad at all.

Most of the templates are pretty bland but if you dig (they do have a lot to choose from) you can find a few decent ones. The one I choose (which you can see above) doesn’t make a lot of sense if you think about it, I just thought the building in the colors like that looked cool… It was 17 bucks.

I don’t know how much ISA consulting I’ll be doing while working 50 hours a week in my day job, but hey it sounded cool.

I’m also going to say that VistaPrint is pretty reliable. We ordered some for our business and they look pretty good, especially for the price. We even went the route of uploading our custom design PSD and all worked well. The ONLY thing I noticed, is that a few of the cards are cut a little obscure. I’d still recommend, however.

Interesting. The company on which I did a PPP post borked up on me, I think I’ll check it out. I don’t really needs cards, but panache is just radiated from these things.

Yeah, I use my work cards far more often then my personal ones, but they are still useful to have around.

Believe it or not, I didn’t get paid for this! Just something to write about ;)
Too bad I don’t have some sort of affiliate link.

Another great website that has the same offer is http://www.giggleprint.com. They have the standing offer of 250 free biz cards for the cost of shipping. They also have the logo on the back.

They have a huge selection of premium business cards. Right now they are offering 80% off of these if you visit their page on Facebook. Just get the offer code and enter it in at checkout. Do a search for “giggleprint” or “giggleprint.com”.

I did Giggleprint and paid about 8 buck including shipping with no ad on the back. The picture was very pretty, but not centered up and down exactly as pictured on the website. I guess you get what you pay for. But overall, I’m very happy with the cards.
