Playing with Playlists, Living the Dream.

Another week is quickly flying by, another week closer to the Holidays. These last few days I’ve been working on putting together a couple hours of music for a “set” I will be DJ-ing at a Christmas Ball this coming weekend. Ok, so it might just be a bunch of girl scouts in an elementary school cafeteria but at least it’s something to get me out of the house on Friday night! It’s actually a challenge putting together a simple playlist of popular music as I really don’t keep up with what’s popular anymore. I hear a song here and there but forget about me knowing any of the artists that do them.

Christmas is like less than 2 weeks away and I’m not quite in the Holiday Spirits that I should be in by now. I’m keeping so busy at work, a lot of new projects and things coming up and the list of stuff that needs to be done is virtually endless, when I do have some downtime I just want to stare at the wall and collect my thoughts. To be honest, it seriously feels like each and every day is shorter for me, I simply don’t have time for anything. In fact even writing this now I should have been in bed about 20 minutes ago but I promised myself I would muster up a blog post sometime today so here we are.

It’s not all bad though, if I had nothing to do I would be complaining about how bored I am but at least I could be blogging more often.

On a good note, I’m about finished with all of my Christmas shopping, in fact I think I only have 1 more item to pick up before I’m ready to start wrapping stuff. It’s funny, I bring all of the Christmas gifts that I buy for people to my work and store them there all month and right now my overhead cabinet is just jammed with gifts.

Oh yes, we will bury the tree this year.

  1. Markus, My Christmas shopping still is not complete, I wish it was. I know you made a great post for the Blog Battle Royale and you were the tops in my book. I’m doing three blog competitions on my blog for some great prizes. I was wondering if you would consider entering the contests. The deadline is the 15th I know you would make a great entry.
