I’m Obsessed

Over the last few weeks I have found myself paying more attention to everything that’s going on with PayPerPost. I wouldn’t consider myself a dedicated-die-hard blogger like some of the people on there but I’m interested in PayPerPost as a company especially with all of the exciting developments that are going on with the newly announced Izea Inc. Ok, so I may have watched all 39 episodes of the PayPerPost reality show – Rockstartup in a matter of a couple days last week… But that’s just because I haven’t bothered watching it before, I didn’t know how fascinating it was to be behind the scenes of a successful startup. That and for some reason I thought it was about a band and musicians, not PayPerPost.

PayPerPost Izea will be hosting PostieCon this upcoming weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. If I had the vacation time and a few extra bucks I would definitely make the trip down there. From what I’ve seen it’s going to be a good size convention with the trade show, guest speakers, Blogger’s Choice Awards, and the announcement of Project Argus with the private alpha opening on the 10th. Very exciting!

As for Izea, I’m never a fan of change and I know that this is going to make PayPerPost more of a product and less of a primary focus. It’s the nature of a growing business and the continuing venture for more growth. It’s understandable, just kind of sad. Business wise, Izea is a good move and with all of their recent acquisitions and projects I was sort of expecting it. PayPerPost is just not a professional name to work under, it’s a product. I just hope it doesn’t affect the attention and detail that PayPerPost has put into its community and user base.
