Weblog

Cars, Meetings, and Conventions.

December 8th, 2006 by Markus Langenfeld

What a week it has been. I’m sure the lack of posts over the past couple weeks has been noticed. Unfortunately there seems to be a good amount of bad times for me lately and I really do hate to sit here and rant about my sub-par experiences. I mean a lot of blogs out there are based around kids whining about their lives they have barely embarked on, and their pathetic socially manifested dysfunctions. That seems to be the sole purpose of many weblogs. I don’t want to be pathetic, and I don’t want that to be the purpose of this place.

However I did have a fairly important meeting yesterday in which I missed due to some very untimely car trouble. I’m hoping that the newly discovered problem with my means of transportation isn’t too serious, but I have a feeling it will be. I know that this would be the perfect time of the year for it…

I want to end this on a good note, and I do have some good news. I recently received a confirmation of my front row seat at the Keynote of Microsoft’s Ready for a New Day Launch Event. Ready for a New Day is the official launch event of the new Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. The tour hits Minnesota on Feb. 1st 2007. So I have plenty of time to get everything planned out so I won’t miss a second of this all day event. I’m really looking forward to some of the workshops and guest speakers that are attending, and getting my hands on a final release of Vista. If any of you readers (yes I’m talking to all 3 of you) are planning to attend this event, or will be in the Minneapolis area on Feb. 1st and may be interested in going, let me know.

I’m interested in going…but I don’t know if I’ll have the time or money too. :(
