Aye

This past week has been just packed. It seems like I’ve been just swamped at work lately with various projects and every day tasks, and to make it better we received all new cubicles this week, an office furniture company came in and completely redid everything. Now I have a nice big 9ft x 8ft workspace, I’m still getting things settled in but it should be real nice. I took some pictures of the new office; you can find them posted Here.

My grandparents had a Pig Roast yesterday, good times. I had the chance to visit with a lot of people I haven’t seen in a while, friends of the family and such. The food was good, they actually stuffed 2 turkeys into this big pig and cooked it all up. Delicious. It’s a bummer however because now my weekend has pretty much come to an end. To top it off I have a raging head cold so I really don’t have the strength or will power to go anywhere or get anything done.

So far my Sunday has been dedicated to playing Battlefield 2142 which I picked up earlier this week. I was going to write up a review for it, but there isn’t much to say about the game. They took a lot away from the experience when you compare it to Battlefield 2, there are no boats, only a couple forms of aircraft and like 3 various land vehicles… The Battlefield series is all about the element of controlling these things and blowing each other away, so that really ruined the game for me. Additionally, I thought I would be into the whole futuristic setting of BF2142 however I don’t feel they did a great job with it. Again when compared to BF2 the game feels overall unrealistic, the colors are too bright and the environments… I just don’t buy it.

I tried to return the game but Wal-Mart caught on to my shenanigans. I guess I’ll have to learn to like this thing. If your looking to purchase Battlefield 2142, and you’re in need of a gaming experience that matches or exceeds then that of Battlefield 2, save your hard earned $50.00.
