Independence Day Weekend

I’m really looking forward to the upcoming 4-day weekend. It almost turned into 5 days however in order to be eligible for holiday pay for Tuesday I’ll need to come in for a grueling 2 hour shift tomorrow. It’s fun to work the system.

The half-day tomorrow will allow me to jet over to ARCC and pick up the necessary paperwork I need to fill out for class this fall. However when it comes to the rest of the weekend, I really don’t have any big plans as of yet. I’ll likely spend most of it at home. There’s nothing wrong with getting some R&R but I would like to go out and do something, maybe I’ll make a trip to the metro or hit the casino for a while.

The family and I will likely venture out to see a fireworks display on the 4th. Last year I went to the show in Minneapolis at the Riverfront Dist. The show was great however it would have been more amazing if it weren’t so short. I hear good things about the display in the city my work is located so maybe we will go there, or should I say here since I’m currently at work…

Anyway expect fireworks photos from wherever I decide to go, and I’m sure I’ll have more to blog about this weekend, until then.
