So how’s it going?

The new job is nice so far, they seem to have plenty of work for me to do and I keep busy most of the day which makes time go by real quick. However because I’ve been so busy with the new job I haven’t had a whole lot of time to do much else. So it will be nice to have this weekend off to get some things caught up.

Other than work, not a whole lot going on really, My Vonage adapter showed up yesterday and I got an email from then alerting me that my home telephone number should be finished with the porting process tomorrow. They told me it would take 7 days for shipping and 14 days for the number port, but it only took 4 days for shipping and 6 days for the number port so I’m highly impressed with them so far.

I had the chance to play around with the service a little. They gave me a temporary ‘Virtual Number’ until the port is finished so it was as easy as plugging in the phone adapter and I was ready to make calls. No weird activation process, I didn’t have to call any robots or anything… It was a real smooth install. The quality is great; I didn’t notice any digital artifacts or anything. It sounds just as good if not better then a conventional landline. From what I’ve seen so far, I think I’m going to be real happy with Vonage.
