The company says the function in question exists due to legacy code, not some nefarious intent.
For those of you out of the loop on this one check out the last 2 episodes of Security Now. In the last episode Steve claims the recently discovered security hole in Microsoft Windows was put there on purpose. It seems Microsoft has come up with some plausible deniability, I’m still with Steve on this one.
