Midtown Exchange Project

I managed to upload all of my pictures (so far) of the Minneapolis Midtown Exchange Project (AKA The Sears Building) in Downtown Mpls. They are making the Sears building into condos and retail space, TCS does all of the security work for the project. I do an overnight shift every monday and I happend to have my camera with me on one of these trips. You can view the pictures by clicking Photography, Then Places, Then Midtown Exchange Project or by clicking Here.

My Back Hurts…

I had another full week this week, 58 hours of stress and pain… If I ever get some real time off I’ll be sure to spend more then a couple minutes on a post.

Renovations: Mark Langenfeld version 16.10

I decided to go through with a few renovations I’ve been meaning to make. The first you may notice is the Flickr photo feed is gone and the navigation has moved to the outside. In place of the Flickr photo feed will be shiny new banner ads! However a more major change is that I’ve actually took Flickr out of the loop. I’ve been meaning to move my photography to my own server and use either a pre-made gallery system or make my own and I decided to program my own. If you click ‘Photography’ you will see another window launch with the beta of my new gallery system. This will make it easier for me to update and organize my photos and I won’t have to worry about the future of a 3rd party host. That’s all I have for now, check back soon for an announcement of another project I’ll be working on.

I always feel like… Sombody’s watching meeeee

Ohhhhhhh… Who’s playing tricks on me?….. If you readers (if there are any readers) haven’t noticed, I really like 80’s music. I guess you can’t really tell the above were lyrics from an old Rockwell song because I was caught in the moment with the music video and….. never mind. So I’m having a good few days off so far, I don’t work again ’till Saturday. I’ve been busy unpacking and being lazy. I was going to do a whole rant about how the Apple X86 switch is a bad move, and how all of these script kiddies are putting leaked copies of OSX onto their crappy PC’s and they should just go out drop $500 on a mini. But I decided not to get into it. Instead I’m going to put my 80’s pop music back on and find something to do.

Where have you been kid ?

Wow, a lot has happened in the last week or so. First off, I’m nearly completely moved into the new place. My office is generally set up, along with my bedroom and whatnot. I just got my internet connection going the other night and I’ve been working nearly non-stop since. But now that I have a few minutes… Other then the moving and work I’ve been busy buying a new car… A mini van actually. That’s right, I’m now a “van guy” and so far I love it. It’s a 1998 Plymouth Voyager, AKA Dodge Caravan… It’s in pretty good shape aside from some dings and scratches, and it runs like new. I don’t think ever owned a vehicle that has ran this good. I’ve put about 500 miles on it in a mere 3 days and it gets about 25 MPG. So far it has taken my daily commute very well. I think that’s all I got for now, check back soon for photos of the new place, the van, along with some others I’ve been meaning to upload.

The first night.

Well this is my first night in the new place. I’m not really living here yet, I plan to move most of my stuff in next week but I thought I would try spending the night tonight. My internet connection won’t be up and running ’till late next week, but lucky for me one of the neighbors happens to have an open hotspot, in a town like this thats a rare find. Expect to see pictures of the new place along with some fireworks photos I took last month and a inside look of the Minneapolis Midtown Exchange Project AKA the Sears building that is being made into condo’s and retail space.
