Movie Review: Hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy
Posted by Markus Langenfeld - 04/30/05 at 10:04:32 pmSo I saw The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy at the multiplex tonight, Wow. If I had to sum the movie up in one word I would say Refreshing. It’s refreshing from the movies I’m used to seeing. Compared to the book some may say it was disappointing but you have to understand that it’s hard to fit such a massive story into a 2 hour movie. But the movie did seem to jump around a lot and it kept really brief about the details making it hard to keep track of what’s going on. Overall I really liked it, perfect movie for a good laugh and the story itself is a trip. It seems like it would be a must have addition to any collection. I’m looking forward to owning it on DVD.

Systm
Posted by Markus Langenfeld - 04/30/05 at 01:04:14 pmThe makers of the video-zine ‘The Broken‘ are now working on a new project titled ‘Systm‘. According to Kevin Rose’s website…
“Systm is a new downloadable Technology TV show brought to you by the same crew that created The Screen Savers (TechTV days) and thebroken. Each episode we’ll cover one project/device/application and provide you with the in-depth technical information you’ve been missing.”
I don’t know what this means for The Broken but I’m really looking forward to seeing Systm. The first couple episodes are supposed to be released in the next month. Check out a behind the scenes look at systm here.

Ethernet Powered Computer
Posted by Markus Langenfeld - 04/29/05 at 03:04:54 pmThe idea of having a computer powered by an Ethernet cable is quite interesting. The technology developed by DSP Design has a power limit of 15.4 watts– DSP design produced a computer, the Poet 6000 that uses only 12watts by carefully choosing the components, based on their power-consumption.
Woah, what happend?
Posted by Markus Langenfeld - 04/29/05 at 03:04:32 pmI couldn’t help myself, I had to come up with a new layout.. It’s sick too becuase I wasn’t going to do the may 1st reboot becuase I didn’t think I could come up with a layout in time, and this eneded up taking only a couple days to whip up. as you can see things are striped down, I felt the website was getting cluttered with stuff again, something I didn’t want. You can now find my resume and portfolio in the downloads section, they will be offered as a downloadable Word document. As for all of the old posts, I’m going to work on adding a old post archive link to the ‘Places of interest’ real soon.
